the border between memories and imaginations becomes indistinct.
these fragmented pieces of memories merge to something new. in the and every thought is fully cleared. awaiting new experience.

the label fridutscha stands for handmade silver and gold jewelery.
the logo combines the artits name Cäcilia Badegruber and fridutscha.
based on the created logo and choosen color for fridutscha, i designed businesscards and a simple website - fridutscha.at.

I give lectures at the university of applied science in Salzburg for the winter term 2009. (department multiMediaArt)
In the course “Audiovisualistik” should develop a concept. My part is to support them during the process of creating the concept, as well as teaching them basic vvvv elements.

the middle course between these two perspectives seem to be the best way?
maybe thats why life sometimes seem to be like a roller coaster. or it is more the case that you cannot really control it, control the way you act in certain situations?
it is probably like it is with all characteristics; the extreme hardly ever is the best decision.
and still it seems to be quite hard to explain what i thought.
We made visuals at the temp festival in Greifenstein (Loweraustria) for an act called Audiobomber. we = taxon = composition of vvvv and prerendered video-footage.There is not much more to say - like that festival.
we are performing on the premises flex in vienna. als always, resolume will be the video-source for the vvvv-set.

I give lectures at the university of applied science in Salzburg for the summer term 2009, the course is called “Audiovisualistik”.
Basically it is teaching vvvv and supporting them with their projects. Finding a visual way to express audio-visualistic concepts.
Sakog is a club close to Salzburg. We did an audioreactive installation, seven projections (just one pc!) to communicate one world in one of the club-rooms. Certain room elements such as walled up windows were also part of the concept. This project was developed in collaboration with Matthias Zauner. video is comming
This lecture at the media university in Stuttgart was splitted in different partitions.
The first part of this lecture was a beginner vvvv-workshop, giving them an unterstandig of what vvvv is capable of and of course to be able to implement all their ideas. More important in that course was to guide them with theire project - an interactive installation. (CUCME - see you see me) We - Phillip Steinweber and me - assisted several steps in the production of the work and of course gave helpful advices: planning, programming, logical parts, montage, and so on
Philipp Steinweber and I will hold a two-day workshop in graz at the elevate festival.
The main topic is vvvv and vjing. If you are interested check the website to get more infos.
Live performance. Using vvvv to create and generate elements depending on the midi-input. Matthais and me worked on the visual part and flo - mysterious monkey and kosby - kaliforniakurt on the audio part.
This clip is just to give you some impressions.
Basis of this work is exactly one hand-drawing, which gets transformed in different shapes. The idea of this work was to find a metaphor to reconstruct memories, using an analog drawing and then kind of blur the images using different methodes. How much can still be recognized, how much is changing. The more important question whould be how to reconstruct these blurred images.
Technically i generated the drawing to to vector-files (svg). I could read the vector-data with vvvv and further on generated a series of different images but always using the same data/drawing.
Interactive Installation
The main poetical idea of the project is that everything that happens is actually invisible in the past and still influences the behaviour of the present.
The aim of this installation is to visualize longterm-traces via an organic growing structure, that otherwise would be invisible to the user. This graphical output wants to make the visitor aware that there is a past in each space and that the present is influenced by the past. The visitor is trace-maker and trace-reader at the same time.
The whole project is completely processed in real-time, programmed with vvvv.
The structure’s look and behaviour is controlled by parameters, which I reach through infrared-tracking of the room. The data is sent in a defined period of time to the structure.
The structure itself is three-dimensional, whereby the y-axis is used for the time-factor, and the x/z-axis coordinates represents the coordinates of the real room. The structure is continuously growing and loses its visibility over time, like traces do.
More details on to the visual elements and their shaping: more
The main question of this thesis is where or how invisibility appears in media art, especially in digital art. Therefore different positions of media theory, philosophy as well as aspects of contemporary art are rolled up. Starting with the statement that society loses power of imagination, the picture is picked out as a central theme in the first chapter and is confronted with the text. Furthermore the items invisibility and tracks are discussed. Besides parallels are pulled to digital art and to data visualisation and some artists and their work are introduced. In the last chapter the thesis elaborates the tools which are used to produce digital work. Different concepts are discussed as black box, machine art or digital art.
The study concludes that invisibility is not only expressed in a visual way, but also in the Meta-level. Which means in the tools of the production itself.
The practical work, an interactive installation with the title »uncover the unseen - cover the scene« takes up an other aspect of the thesis. This other aspect is the item »longterm-track« with reference to Freud´s considerations of the »Wunderblock«. In the work these longterm-tracks are shown in a three-dimensional, organically growing structure. Input for the installation are the positions as well as the movement of the people in a room. Tracks refer to visibility of the past. The structure visualises these tracks of the past and the present in real-time, which would not be visible otherwise.
This is my printed diploma thesis. I should give this animation another try. but for now it should do the job…
